Art Show and Auctions
Have you ever looked at a gorgeous book cover and wished you had a print of the art for your wall? Guest artist Michael Whelan is in the foreground of artists producing that art, including the cover for "2010: The Year We Make Contact". At SpoCon2010, you can meet Michael, see a wonderful display of his art, and purchase something created by him or one of our many other talented artists.
SpoCon 2010 still has artist space available, to exhibit, please contact Roberta Rice (robertar@spocon.org). Please use “SpoCon” for the subject on all emails. Cost is 10% of sales plus $10 per 4’x4’ pegboard space or 12 sq ft table space. There is a limited amount of discounted space available for artists attending the Con who have paid a full or volunteer rate SpoCon Adult Membership. Please e-mail Roberta Rice (robertar@spocon.org) for space availability for your art to be placed and for a mailing address for mail-in art. Artist payments should be mailed to SpoCon P O Box 48790 Spokane WA 99208.

The artist will set the minimum bid price on each item. Members may bid on art until 11 am Sunday. If three bids are made on a piece, it will go to auction. If less than three bids, the highest bidder must pick up their purchase between 11:30 am and 2pm Sunday at the Art Show. All art that has not been bid upon will be available for sale from noon to 2pm Sunday for the after show price set by the artist.
>>> This year, SpoCon will also be offering "print shop" items available for immediate sale. Print shop space is limited. The cost will be $10.00 for up to 10 copies of 10 prints. Prints should not be duplicates of items hung in the artshow UNLESS what is hung in the artshow is the original. Printshop items should be matted or backed with cardboard and plastic covered for their protection. All printshop items should be signed, numbered, and limited edition. A printshop control sheet will available soon on this page or by sending an e-mail to robertar@spocon.org. As with other art in the artshow, return postage and mailing label for any prints not sold is required.<<<
