I was going to just add on to an already going topic but...everything is gone now.
Anyways, my question is about a weapon idea I have for my Steampunk costume I have been working on. I have found these amazing ideas using Nerf guns.

That second is my favorite.
So I was wondering if these would be allowed? As you can see my question was for the "what weapons is Gonzaga going to allow/disallow" topic, but I figured it really was more of a costume question because, well, it can make or break it, ya know?
Well, oh Mighty SpoCon ConCom? What say you?

In the past, GU's answer has been "no" regarding nerf guns. With the paint and other mods, it no longer "looks" like a real gun, not that a Nerf gun looks real to begin with. Our call would be "not a problem as long as you do not use any projectiles. Peace bonding and all that.

We are working on a variance for the Firely LARP, as the NERF thing is all part of the combat system. More on this as we have info available.

The final call is working out the policy with GU.

This thread posted twice? Damnit. It said it wouldn't post it when everything was gone. -_-' Frustrating site you! /fistshake

Anyways, good to know. I have been feeling very creative and artsy so I was looking forward to make the gun look AMAZING.

And besides looking awesome it will no longer be a Nerf Gun in the sense that it shoots...anything, actually. There will be lights and it'll look neat but nothing at all with actual project from it. Smiling

f.r.e.a.k. I replied to the other post too.

With this new information, I will forward your request to Gonzaga and let them know these are non-firing pieces and see what they say.

Woo! I am hoping for a yes. My boyfriend is looking forward to making the big light for the 'firing' end work and I would feel bad if people didn't get to see it when he is so excited.

Looking for an update about the question of non-firing, not even remotely real, steampunk accessory guns, but haven't found one yet.

Any word from Gonzaga?

I recently picked up an amazing totally phony steamer gun with legally required orange tip included (brass lamp parts, aluminum cookie press body, tape dispenser handle, gears, gauges, etc), and would like to bring it along.

Thanks,
