Mad Marmot Social Club Rules and Regulations

The Mad Marmot Social Club (MMSC) is a central location for night time gathering of SpoCon members, Guests, and Attending Pros. The atmosphere is one of socializing and of course, Fandom. The MMSC is an all ages venue, as it will be shared with Hospitality. Those 21 and over may partake in the offerings of our table hosts.

The hours of the Mad Marmot Social Club are 9:00 PM until 2:00 AM. Special events may take place prior to the 9:00 PM opening.

Hosts:
A MMSC Host is person or group that provides appropriate refreshments for members, guests, and attending pros of SpoCon. Refreshments provided may be food or beverages and the only restrictions are that the provided refreshments are legal – so no controlled substances. Hosts may not sell any refreshments in accordance with WA State law.

* We are working out the space available for 2010. There are some changes in the works in accordance with WA State RCW and the WSLCB.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rules:
Starting at 9:00 PM, all persons shall be required to present a valid form of ID:

  • Driver's License
  • State ID
  • Military or Dependant ID
  • Passport

NO OTHER FORM OF ID WILL BE ACCEPTED

Those attending over the age of 21 (in accordance with WA state law) shall be identified in an identifiable manner. This will allow the MMSC Hosts to easily identify those attending which refreshments that they may offer.

No alcohol may be taken out of the Mad Marmot Social Club once it has been served. Hosts may transport left over product after the closing of the MMSC.

If someone is visibly intoxicated, in accordance with WA State law, that individual shall no longer be served. Basically, let's keep an eye on each other – we're damn near family.

We will be following WAC 314-18-060 : Liquor to be served and consumed — Restrictions.

(1) Spirit, beer and wine restaurant discount liquor cannot be sold, served, or consumed under or by authority of a banquet permit. Liquor to be served will be purchased from an authorized retail source only.
(2) Licensees and/or commercial caterers shall not pay for or advance the moneys to purchase the liquor for the event for which the banquet permit application has been made, but they may transport the prepaid liquor purchased by the applicant to whom the banquet permit was issued.
(3) No banquet permittee may buy or accept delivery of liquor from any manufacturer, brewer, distributor, distiller, winery, importer, or agent thereof.
(4) It is not necessary for a banquet permit applicant to purchase liquor at the time the permit is issued, and individuals attending a banquet function may bring their own liquor.

Finally -- don't be a doek and be lame. Have a good time, have fun, be a Fan. Let's take care of each other.

Where, exactly, is this venue located? Hopefully not in the GU snack bar...

The MMSC is located in what they call Pandini's in Cataldo Hall -- the room with the fireplace thingy in the middle of it.
