I understand your fustration. If possible please bring a copy of your completed volunteer form & we'll work from there. Most of the filled voulnteers forms have been arriving to the write person, but they only had a certain number of coupon codes to give out. Once that number has been reached paypal would not give the discount, we then have to do everything at the door.
Sorry for the inconvience.

We'll gladly honor your volunteer discount at the registration desk.

I can not find the friendly button to click for online registration. Could you please tell me were I can register online and pay?

Online Registration for 2010 has not been implemented yet. It is in progress.

I am not trying to insult or step on anyone's toes, but why is it so hard to set up an online registration? Back in the InCon days a friend of mine, who had some web page experenace, and I set up an online registration for gaming in less then an hour and it work great. I am hearing rumors that the online registration is trying to do several different thing at once such as sign up for gaming and other events. I suggest just setting up a simple online registration to start so that people can get registered and pay and then add other bells and whistle as time permits. Please don't let it end up like RadCon which still does not have online registration with less then two months to go.

To the best of my knowledge there are no plans to integrate registration with any additional sign-up functionality of the website. I'd presume that's something the web team would have had cc'ed to them.
Rumors are bad, mmmkay?
Our web registration requires that the website create an account for the user, collect information for their badge (multiple times for multiple purchases), have the user agree to the SpoCon 2010 terms of service, collect funds through paypal, be able to accept coupons when necessary, and probably a task or two I'm forgetting off the top of my head. Ah yes, it also requires a system to keep this year's sales separate from last year's.
All of these functions work in some capacity, and have since last year's web registration. We need to work out a few of the rougher corners, and get the terms of service and overall web registration process confirmed through this year's registration team to make sure everything is going smoothly. We had online registration up shortly after RadCon last year, a good five months before the convention, and I expect it to be up sooner than that this year, just takes things working their way through the process.
I really appreciate that you're keeping an eye on this and are so excited about signing up for SpoCon 2010. We'll have the registration up as soon as we can for you. Thanks!

This has never been the case for SpoCon, I don't know why we'd wait that long now.
I'd also be remiss to bring to your attention the fact that RadCon recently moved to a new website platform and with such an update also comes some time of adjustment.
Rest assured, the SpoCon pre-reg system will be online well before the convention. We're in the middle of testing last year's system after our major site updates. Taking people's money online is a very serious practice, and we have to be careful and do it right to avoid creating issues for both the ConCom and our Membership.
I don't want to sound too much like an ass, but is it even possible to compare InCon's website to SpoCon's?

Rumors are indeed bad, but they need clearing up. Glad that is done. I see that this is much more complicated that the simple web page I used for InCon gaming. I hope that things turn out great.

Thanks, me too!

Was the registration button ever added? I'm not seeing it. I'm running out of time for the discount price, and will have to mail a check if I can't find the button. I can't even find a print out order form. Please help.

The web team is preparing to release pre-reg on the site very soon (before RadCon). You should still have time to pre-reg at the current rate.

Looks Great!
